Paul Salviani
Psychologist

If you’ve been putting off seeing a psychologist because you’re not sure where to start, or you’re not sure it’ll actually help — Paul Salviani is the kind of clinician who changes that.

Paul is an AHPRA-registered and SIRA-accredited psychologist with over a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents. He has a particular depth of expertise in workplace injury, trauma, and the psychological side of recovery — including Workers Compensation, and CTP claims. Whether it’s PTSD, chronic pain, workplace stress, burnout, sleep disturbance, anxiety, or the emotional weight of adjusting to life after an injury, Paul approaches each person’s experience with genuine curiosity rather than a pre-set plan.

Rather than simply teaching coping strategies, he helps clients make sense of why they think, feel, and respond the way they do — the automatic patterns behind their emotions, stress responses, and behaviours.

Paul also brings extensive experience in cognitive assessment, with hundreds of ADHD evaluations completed. This informs a lot of his work around attention, concentration, task initiation, and executive functioning — what he describes as psychological “focus fitness.”

His therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual and draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and hypnosis-informed techniques. He also has a longstanding interest in dream analysis — an area that tends to surprise people, and often opens up conversations they didn’t know they needed to have. 💭

We’re genuinely glad to have Paul as part of the Covenant Medical Hub team, and we think you will be too! 💙
