Dr Claudia Reed

Dr Claudia Reed is the kind of doctor who has always gone further than the job required — and her path to Covenant Medical Hub is proof of that.

Claudia grew up in Western Sydney and was the first person in her family to finish high school. She went on to complete nine years of university, beginning with a Bachelor of Medical Science with First Class Honours in Genetics at the University of Sydney, before completing her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the Australian National University. She has since spent years training across Sydney, regional NSW, and rural Victoria — from Westmead and Coffs Harbour to Ballarat’s Emergency Department — developing a genuinely broad and practical clinical foundation.

Her special interests are dermatology, paediatrics and neonatology, and women’s health. She holds an Advanced Certificate of Dermatology and Skin Cancer and a Master of Research currently in progress, and has published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences including the World Organisation of Family Doctors World Conference. She was also formally recognised as a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney for her teaching contributions — which tells you something about how seriously she takes sharing what she knows!

In your appointments, Claudia is thorough with preventative care, organised when it comes to chronic care and mental health care plans, and genuinely invested in the health outcomes of the people she sees. 

Outside of medicine, she is a devoted sun safety advocate — she has tried what she estimates is every sunscreen on the Australian market (and would love to tell you all about it! ☀️).

It means a lot to Claudia to be back serving Western Sydney, the community that shaped her. We’re proud to have her here. 💙
